With its world-spanning network of subsidiaries and affiliates, offering a far-reaching portfolio of repair capabilities and a highly efficient logistics system, Lufthansa Technik ensures the reliability and availability of their customers’ fleets. Certified by civil aviation authorities as a maintenance, design and production organization, Lufthansa Technik offers integrated services,  tailored to the wishes and demands of the customers. The portfolio also includes dedicated services for aircraft owners such as banks and leasing companies as well as the completion of large business and government aircraft. Furthermore, the bandwidth of capabilities delivered by the high-tech company from Hamburg includes the development of in-flight entertainment systems and new repair technologies.

In the year 2006, 12,000 employees at Lufthansa Technik’s major German locations in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin, as well as the 13,000 staff working for the 27 subsidiaries and affiliates in Europe, Asia and the USA supported more than 580 airline customers, generating a total turnover of more than £2.8 billion (4 billion euros).

Rolls-Royce is a technology leader, employing 38,000 people in offices, manufacturing and service facilities in 50 countries. Annual sales total £7.4 billion (10.6 billion euros), of which 53 per cent are services revenues. The firm and announced order book is £26.1 billion (37.3 billion euros), of which aftermarket services represent 38 per cent, providing visibility of future levels of activity.
