Arnstadt, 03.08.2026 – A special milestone for N3 Engine Overhaul Services: the 2,000th overhauled aircraft engine has left the company's Arnstadt facility and is on its way back into commercial service. Since the first engine induction in 2007, this achievement reflects almost two decades of continuous growth, engineering excellence and close collaboration between N3's shareholders, Rolls-Royce and Lufthansa Technik.
The milestone engine is a Rolls-Royce Trent XWB and will return to service with Lufthansa. As such, it represents the successful partnership that has shaped N3 since its foundation: Rolls-Royce as the engine manufacturer, Lufthansa Technik as a leading MRO provider, and Lufthansa as a long-standing customer.
Today, more than 1,300 employees at the Arnstadt site work every day to support airlines around the world with the highest standards of quality and reliability. At the same time, N3 continues to pursue its growth strategy. Through ongoing site expansion, the introduction of new technologies and increased overhaul capacity, the company aims to exceed 270 engine overhauls per year, making an important contribution to the stability of global air transport.
